Welcome to Mosaic Kids

At Mosaic, we want to raise up a generation who knows and lives the values of the Kingdom, who radically believes the Word of God and who creates a culture of discipleship and community where seeing God move supernaturally is normal and expected!

Through fun play, exploration, worship, and multi-sensory learning, Mosaic Kids learn about God's great story and their place within it, while being cared for by trained leaders who seek to model Jesus's love and truth.

We would love to have your kids join our growing community! Planning your first visit to Mosaic Kids? Click below to let us know you're coming!

What to expect

Click below to explore what Mosaic Kids is all about on Sundays! For each age group, you'll find the specific check-in location, details about their classroom and where you'll plan to pick your child/children up. Classrooms open 15 minutes prior to service, and we ask parents to pick up their child/children no later than 15 minutes after service.

Currently, these classrooms are open during our 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services. All Mosaic Kids Ministry meets in the Kids and Youth Center during the 7:00 p.m. service.

For Main Building Drop Off: Check-in is located just past the front doors in the lobby.
For Kids & Youth Center Drop Off: Check-in is located in the lobby.

Babies: 18 months old and younger

The Babies Class is designed to make babies feel secure as they grow accustom to being away from their parents in a church environment. The Mosaic Kids Team’s biggest tool in this room is prayer as we invite the presence of God to bring peace and joy into every baby. In this classroom, we are thoughtful and happy to contact you if your baby has a need that only a parent can meet.

We are here to partner with you as you begin a rhythm for your baby and family on Sundays! In those first few Sundays, feel free to spend a few moments in the room with your baby helping them transition. Our hope is that Mosaic Kids becomes a place your little one is excited to be as they grow!

In the Toddlers Class, kids experience the patience and gentleness of God. The Mosaic Kids Team carefully tends to the soft hearts of these young kids as they present Biblical truths and kingdom principles in a developmentally appropriate way. Toddlers are encouraged to learn about obeying Jesus and loving others through intentional storytelling, tangible practice of early social and classroom skills and through simple playing.

The Preschool Class is a safe and fun experience for kids where they will play and grow in friendships with one another as they learn about Jesus and encounter the Holy Spirit. The Preschool Class focuses on laying Biblical foundations for the preschoolers. Kids will engage with the Bible story through discovery play, games and crafts. By engaging with the Bible story, our goal is to help make their learning personal and help them take next steps towards relationship with Jesus.

The Elementary Class is a joyful and fun environment where kids build authentic relationships with fellow believers and with Jesus! Together, we interact with the word of God, worship through fun songs and dance moves and spend time praying for one another. Kids practice spending time with God on their own and hearing His voice. The Mosaic Kids Team encourages and equips the kids to continue spending time with God everyday throughout the week.

4th - 5th Grade

Check-in and Drop Off location: Main Building

Pick Up location: Kids & Youth Center

In our 4th and 5th Grade Class, we aim to deepen the kids’ personal relationships with Jesus. Kids will worship together in the adult service and head out to spend time together in a small group during the sermon. The Mosaic Kids Team encourages kids to think for themselves, ask questions and apply scripture to their lives throughout the week.

Meet our Kids and Families Pastors

Andrew and Emily have enjoyed serving kids and families at Mosaic Seattle together since 2017. The Haakensons are passionate about God’s heart for families and children, and love envisioning and equipping parents and leaders to disciple the next generation in following Jesus. Andrew and Emily have two young kids of their own and enjoy eating pizza, playing in their backyard, visiting the zoo, playing at the park and taking walks around Green Lake as a family.
