Birth Classes

Pregnant women and their husbands or support people are invited to come and increase their knowledge and confidence in labor, birth, breastfeeding, and early parenting. Christian Wright, our Mosaic Young Families Pastor, is an experienced Clinical Nurse and Midwife and a Maternal Health Researcher and Educator. As a regular teacher and keynote presenter at Australian birthing conferences he is bringing his popular birth classes to Mosaic for a second time. These classes run as a set and include a special focus on male partners and support people to help them understand what they can do and give them skills for how to do it.
Class 1: Sept 26 – Active Labour & Birth (& Dad’s Class)
Class 2: Oct 10 – Breastfeeding & Early Parenting (& Dad’s Class)
Both classes are aimed at first-time mothers in their third trimester, however any pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy are welcome. The classes will be open to the public and free. Registration required for all attending. Unless you are breastfeeding, children cannot attend this event.
